My SED heard from our SVP that the numbers are so bad in the Americas that unless something big comes in, another big round of SE and AM reductions is inevitable. If it happens will be at the end of Q3. 200+ in sales and sales engineering across all verticals.

@V2UVP1w-5jbn, there were several layoffs throughout August, I personally know 4 from pro services laid off. As for the October layoffs, I heard today of the same rumors from some Senior Directors, I also talked to some SEs who are extremely worried as they have heard the same rumors.
Big issue with Juniper is that the executives won't put on their big-boy-pants and be honest with the rank and file. They pretend everything is going smoothly, while stealthily laying off small groups dispersed geographically so they don't need to use the WARN process.
Layoffs coming in October verified - just curious about this. I have been reading layoff happened in August, did it actually happen? Is there another layoff in October?

Just cut, provide fair severance packages and move on with profitable parts. It's not social welfare institution. Plenty of cash money and healty parts in Juniper, in order to do both.
It’s sad to see such a great titan of the industry struggle with this market shift. Unfortunately, the products (that are albeit the best performing mega-routers in the business) just don’t match what the market is willing to buy. Juniper will struggle until execs understand that Enterprise is an important part of the business, and must be easy to deploy and manage, and must include wireless connectivity.

@V2UVP1w-4lkq, layoffs are no joke. They are no laughing matter. Layoffs affect human beings beyond those who work at Juniper. They affect families and loved ones who depend on salaries and the support of those that work and get let go. Even a rumour about a layoff can create stress and anxiety to many people. Please be sensitive and act like an adult.
