Currently I am a Contributor and I Have a succesful DPM, but is it possible if I resign my position and leave the company for a year to work somewhere else and then return as a Senior to My previous role in Sabre?

Nice summary, i know may of them did the same in blr offce.

Initially they were in AS now they are a prt of different team and got 30% hike + higher designation+closeness to directors as now they wanted to move to dfw office.

Everything is possible in blr office :)

Sabre career tutorial in 5 steps - you can be rehired senior within 3-6 months with no problem - just

  1. leave and tell company is awesome but you need to figure out personal stuff

  2. rehire senior to other team 3 months later and tell some good b$ reason why u left due to personal reasons and sabre is awesome but you want try in different dept.

  3. enjoy your 30% salary raise

  4. repeat 1,5-2 years later again

  5. works up to principal position, later you need to attach urself to some vp to get u to sr principal lvl

While there are no guarantees in life, the question you ask is a little tricky and risky for you, given the current environment of layoffs at Sabre. Be careful about chaning jobs/companies too quickly. If you want to leave a company because you believe you want to do something else that you really would like to do, then go for it! If you are wanting to leave, only to return for higher pay, this is when you have to be really careful. If I were you, I would always put being happy first (e.g. enjoy what you do, and do it above and beyond). If you don't find joy in what you do in working/life (work can be enjoyable and fulfilling in order to thrive well), then I would find something else, whether inside a company or outside. Stay true to who you are. Be honest in all that you do. You will sleep better at night :-). I hope this helps!

This company needs innovation and breakthrough. Hiring back people who were just successfull, unless they got better, doesn’t make sense even to the same level, not mention about the higher position. Based on the query you posted, it could be that you’re just looking for strategy on how to trick the system and get promoted/hired to the next carreer level position while not being in possession of traits and skills normally needed for such career advencement. Sabre policy is to have at least highly successful raiting in order to get promoted. Work harder and demonstrate your sills and traits and I assure you will get promoted much faster than you apparently believe this can happen to you at this point.

I guarantee one of four things could happen

1 you could be hired back into the exact same position as you left

2 you could be hired back into a more senior position

3 you could be hired back into a less senior position

4 you could be not hired back into any position

I hope that helps.

It depends if your current role will be available in a year from now at Senior level. There’s 6 months tenure for rehire.

Honestly? Take the new job and RUN FAR AWAY. You could be laid off in six months the way things go here, and with Trump's economy predicted to tank big time next year, jobs won't be as plentiful.
