Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

IT IS NOT FAKE NEWS

To whomever keeps claiming news of Juniper layoffs is “fake news”: shame on you. Layoffs affect real people with real families and real mouths to feed. To dismiss affected professionals in such Trumpian fashion is disgusting.

It wouldn’t surprise me if someone inside Juniper is claiming “fake news” to suppress the reality of the company’s dire situation. If that’s the case, it’s time for the industry to move on. Ethics still matter.

We know some people were let go from JTAC in SYL in the last round, August time. So it's very TRUE. It had happened at least twice this year, from various groups.

No, you did not get the point. There is a big gap between "you cannot or don't know how to verify" and "it is fake". To close that gap, you need to have credits or in a position to be held responsible if caught lying.

Asking for details like "severance package" is simply stupid. What is that you cannot find out by asking HR for a copy of latest effective severance plan?

Anyone working in Juniper can simply look up in company directory. And see it's FAKE NEWS for themselves.

By your logic, why don't you provide your exact department/location/title, so we can verify if you are capable of verifying and in a position to call fake news?

FAKE NEWS. No details about severance packages, exact departments/locations (so it can be verified) , just same old dude waging imaginary war against imaginary italian mafia.

Some of us in EMEA know who the guy is (i.e., the one posting FAKE NEWS). He is a political player, been in Juniper for longer than the time of dinosaurs. To be fair to him that's about the only two words in English, he can write correctly.

Muller is investigating Russian ownership of JNPR stock, and how they may have influenced the layoffs.

Seriously though, you make a valid point in the first part of your comment, that there are endless cycles of layoffs at Juniper and these have serious consequences for those affected. This is not fake news, and the person who keeps posting that is a fool - agreed.

But, you only diminish the credibility of your comment by making it political. You should not be surprised that Juniper is headquartered in ultra-liberal California and run by a majority of liberal executives and managers - these are the people who are making the layoffs decisions not Trump supporters. Listen to the inappropriate political comments by top executives at the all hands meetings and you will be reminded of this.
