Cpu design teams at Intel are in dire need of good engineering staff at all levels . Current bunch is either overstretched or just to inexperienced to take on the new challenge. Most important is need to reduce politics of higher level managers who are not at all hands-on and apply all petty techniques to stay relevant. I have seen this first hand .
@ilu - Diversity, if correctly applied, should be a positive. The problem is the misguided conception of diversity which requires experienced engineers to get pushed out after they reach 40-45.
Well said. Couldn't have said it better. As the only senior guy in a group of H1B's and younger juniors, can really feel getting pushed out and getting no pay raises these few years. The company must be mo--nic to bring in this diversity. 10's of years of experience being replaced by a dummy marching band.

Intel practiced age discrimination firing old enginmers while hiring young recent college graduates. HR even sent memos to temove ‘recent’ changing RCG to CG, because RT and BK new exactly what they were upto.. breaking the law.

No engineer worth his salt will ever respect a CEO that is non technical.
Lisa Su on the other hand is a hard core engineer. just look at her track record.

The problem is when a company like intel degrades and is run by lesser non technical people, it will never get back to its old ways because all the incompetent non technical person will spend time and money playing politics to keep their status quo. until the company finally goes under... just like Motorola did.
In the meantime, Intel got filled with clueless and entitled millenials, so-called 'tech females' and URMs with liberal arts degrees or no degree at all, and cheapo, equally clueless H1Bs and L1s.
