Thank god I got out of this hellscape. What a disaster.

Get out! If you’re still there, get out while the market is doing well. As soon as there’s a downturn (or just the next mess up that requires management to go sell everything and fire the employees to make earnings that year) the guys who’ve been there a while and making decent money get fired first. Sorry, but it’s hard to deny.

Anadarko really has become a toxic place. Behind all the perks and benefits are layoffs, politics, and back stabbing. A lot of truth about management being a cancer. Front line workers keep this place alive and management just sits back cutting budget and risking lives. Damn shameful.

@1vnq, what if a post was derogatory towards people of the management demographic? Would that be removed? It's a much smaller subset of the population than that of West Texas, and far more incompetent. Is that considered prejudice by the governing powers of this board?

Are you from West Texas, btw? I hear it is a wonderful place filled with the best and brightest people. And lots of things to do. Anadarkos propaganda videos about it really make it seem like paradise.

@rzw, as far as I can remember, that post was rude towards people from Texas, so that could be the reason.

This is a privately owned website, not associated with corporate at all (just look at the thousands of other forums they have here). But some messages do get nuked by site admins if they violate one of their rules. No racism, insults, derogatory language in general. They also don’t allow disclosing personal info (i.e. names).

Anadarko of old is dead. Long live BG.

People are no longer considered an asset to the company. As was pointed out recently by senior management, with the correct processes and procedures anyone can do any job.

With Anadarko's name in the press so much lately associated with the horrific acts of one of its Colorado employees, the censors are out in force. It seems like even the most benign posts are taken down with an hour or two. Corporate Security or whoever does that must be working overtime.

Is there a reason the post mentioning the incidents in Permian was taken down? All it pointed out was that Anadarko somehow avoided bad press for a fatality, astronomical well blowout and billion dollar plant explosion. Those incidents seem to be glossed over on an already ugly record. No need to censor here.

Spot on. For all those big data types, the data posted in the article is 100% spot on, and the analysis is 100% accurate. One could send an "executive" to do a case study at APC expense to a MBA school (sounds familiar Denverites?) to flesh out the numerous supporting details to make this a case study. Didn't even touch on the do as I say, not as I do culture that goes straight to the top.
