The writing's on the wall. almost all projects are out sourced, and not many projects in house. I heard this layoff in September is going to hit MMS R&D hard, and it 's going to be big. Get your resume cleaned up!!!

There is workforce available internally to get work done. Now, just waiting for the ax to fall. It's a shame BD is choosing to outsource the work with the assumption it would be cheaper to get it done by a firm that will be charging them a lot more than they are quoting right now. Sadly, the folks making the decision to outsource are clueless. They will be disappointed shortly. Then, they will decide to do it in house. But, by then everyone has been fired/moved on.

The layoff is this September for sure. Since BD acquired Carefusion, layoffs in San Diego are an annual practice!!

My guess is the layoff will happen somewhere between the middle and the end of September, and it will probably affect around 100 workers based on the historical data.
