Any fans, water coolers and certainly mini fridges may be restricted due to your store energy audit. You might be able to get away with keeping your refrigerated water fountain to where it is keeping the water cold, if you have one installed in your backroom, but that is the discretion of your QMT, DFM and SGM to do so when they devise an energy plan for the store. Otherwise, they will unplug it and the water will be lukewarm.
The bay door might have to be closed for two reasons: 1) safety, since it's quite a drop off the dock if you are not watching your step and 2) preventing theft, since packages could be passed out of the open bay door.
You would just have to state your case to your SGM to see if what concessions could be made, if any. You might try calling 88 Sears as the next step. If enough of you call in to voice your concerns about working in the backroom in warmer weather, they might change things. OSHA is anotuer avenue, probably more effective.
