@eul, that would be the smart move. That something qcom should have done with brcm. They were already giving 8 billion fee all qcom had to do was accept and then get their congress critters to block it.
If I was NXP, I'd be willing to extend for a higher breakup fee. 1 more month? +250million.. 3 more months? +1billion. They should be compensated for the opportunity cost of waiting longer.
@tzr, actually it is up to nxp, NXP can agree to extend if they want. Now would they??
July 25 is the final date. If it is not closed by then, QCOM pays NXPI $2B US and that’s the end of it.
