Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

huge retention package

senior is getting 50k retention, staff is 60k and senior staff is 75k+

all are in RSU.

selection criteria is unclear and biased. its not performance based because many performances rating 6 got nothing.

Ask them in the next all hand.

People are very mad in tge key group and whoever didn’t get that are looking for jobs.

This has been messed up so bad.

RSU dollar amounts mention by OP matches my retention. Paying out in cash, over next few years for retention, would have been much more effective in retaining employees

(May be some critical employee have received cash retention ...... so that Q hangs on to them if stock goes down ...... retention for average employees looses value).

My former employer gave all bonuses etc as RSU, which couldn't be sold before 2-3 years. After that dotcom crisis exploded. The stock crashed. At the end of the day Its value was as much as toilet paper, when it could be sold.
