Thread regarding Sears layoffs

New week, new opportunity for closings and layoffs

So, anybody wants to start betting on how many new closing announcements we'll get this week and/or how many people will be laid off in both corporate and retail?

I mean, it's been so long since we've had a week without finding out another store or stores are closing, that now it's more of a question of how many than if any will close.

I say two, since last week was big with ten and this week is Fourth of July, so I'm guessing a temporary slowdown is in order.

@ljj If you're talking about this list, no, it came out last week. https://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ssf/2018/06/sears_announces_10_more_stores_including_one_kmart_to_close_see_list.html

Eddie's gonna celebrate with a huge fireworks display!

A carefully-selected list of K-Marts have been well-stocked with firecrackers, roman candles, and sparkly fountains. Also, bags and bags of charcoal and lighter fluid.

The stores will be much easier to sell once they've been reduced to charred hulls.

None. Can't announce bad news on Independence Day week.

That hasn't stopped them from delivering bad news before
