It’s a wake up call for dst India employees as well specially those working on legacy products...dst has no plans to sell these products anymore...people from these projects have been around since many years and not leaving the company. Though management is saying nothing will happen to those who “generate revenue” ( again specific to india), we never know when our turn will come...fortunately we living in cities like hyderabad and pune where it’s not very difficult to find new job if we really try.
So update your resume and start attending weekend drives.
Why would any company layoff staff in India?! There's no logic in that.
@izw HALF??? Some junior developer in Thailand can't even make 5 digits annual salary. They can hire 5 of us here for a single US dev cost.
I'm glad, but that's not too surprising. For all that they pay us crap in the US, they can get away with paying you even less because this is a sh-- world. The push right now is to get rid of most American devs and replace us with offshore devs for half - or less - of the cost.
