From the moment they took over they have been taking. They took the xmas bonus. they took sick time, they took our benefits (cost more cover less) They took roughly 1600 jobs. They took our quality of life, constant shift changes, reassignments to depots and call centers that increase our commutes. Management has done nothing but lie, give you half answers and double speak. They base our livelihoods on a bulls*t NPS survey which is not at all an accurate portrayal of the job done or your efforts. They promised bonuses that are impossible to achieve using this NPS system. They did away with supplies and uniforms to field service and let the call centers fall into a depressing miserable filthy office.
All the while the managers and supervisors look you in the face with a glazed look as if YOU are the one who is crazy. They look at you as if YOU are not "getting it" Deep down the realize all this but they make it seem like you are nuts. Which is almost more insulting than shrugging and admitting it is horrific but it is what it is.. At least with that there is some respect for your opinion.
What I can not understand is that despite all of this and everything that is to come there are still people on here who feel that unions are the problem. Can someone please give me a THOUGHTFUL explanation as to why..
Its quite simple to me when the corporations pulls this crap the union simply say.. Ummm NO thats not happening or every worker you have walks tomorrow.. try doing business that way. It gives the workers a voice and some power.
If you trust a corporation in this day and age you deserve what you get.
