Talent is relative, they vary from worst to exceptional in any company, I did work with some really good CE engineers who can solve multiple issues in parallel. These guys work extra hours with customers to debug and help in solving the critical issues, so does lot of other teams, stop bashing each other and realize it doesn’t matter what we are where we are, things go on..

@1nls - that explained it all. Got it. Any group has unbalanced ethnic composition should be scruntized for racism or nepotism. This is really an toxic environment. What have been done to remedy the situation....?! Has someone in HR have the courage enough to report this?! Let's reply this post if anyone see or feel the same. Maybe a class lawsuit could finally wake up the injustice here!

There are many great technical and dedicated CE engineers. There are also many AH and Politicians in other groups. So don't single out CE. These territorial mindset make this place poisonous.

What is the role of CE PE ? Also home many PE are there, many per product or 1 per product.

Other companies [equal size and smaller ones ] have 1~2 managers to drive the products into commercialization without any headache.

Another reason for too many meeting could be too many managers ( overstaffed) to take a bite and understaffed engg for actual productive work.No CE presence in SD anymore ?

I know one HW guy there. He said CE culture of old days used to be helping each other as one team. But those days are completely gone. Too many captains, but not many workers meaning lots of fat.
