My take: McD is buying CB&I and their huge debt. No merger, but a buyout. Since I'm a CB&I employee........ wondering if McD will honor-grandfather CB&I's severance package of 1wks pay for 1yrs service, capped at 12 years. I look for significant layoffs at both companies soon, if not right after the buyouts complete, any HR people out there with any insight? Comments?

@2kbb; you make a very good analogy. Yes, that is the kind of merger this is..... Read the MDR transcript; they claim since they solved MDR's problems and turned it around; all they have to do is "rinse and repeat". Presto, CBI will be a profitable again. They really said that!!!.. I am not kidding. What makes it more laughable is that fact that CBIs business is nothing MDR has ever attempted and these guys are not even good at the offshore business yet.... OK nuf said...

Friendly like a reality tv show about how a dysfunctional couple moved in together. One is an emaciated abuse survivor who just started to get her life going and has a little bit of money. Other is a 400 pounds genius, broke, with multiple personalities. You will want to look away but just can't.
