Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

One precision to one of the posts, they are not even the 3% of the staff...that is definitely true. But 3% is too much, they do not represent even the 0.5% of the staff.

So while they are trying to affect the jobs of all other hard working people (and not coming to work affecting their peers, for whom they are supposed to be doing this for...to represent the "people") they are also just 3 clowns, just 3 clowns and 2 slow performers (bad are for sure but they are also very slow...and of course not exactly the best peers ever)

It's been all said here. These are 5 poor performers that would like to be fired and are dragging everyone else with them.

The Union is a joke. The delegates, well, what can I say?, we are all aware of their reputation and we know that the reasons behind the Union are not very noble.

The "Corleone" guy, has been with the company for about 12 years or so, he's still a contributor, still a 1st level. He has been on sick leave for months year after year.

The other member of the API team, is not the brightest star in the sky but without considering his very poor performance, he has been on "sick" leave 3 (in a row) of the last 5 months, returned to work only for a couple of weeks and only to take the day off 1 or 2 days a week due to legal day or personal reasons. Now is taking his annual vacations. Looks to me there is a very clear pattern.

The other 2 original members, they already left the Union, not very committed to the cause I must say. One of them, before joining the Union asked his supervisor to be included in the last layoff, not happy with the result, well...

They can have a website and use fancy words but at the end of the day, they still are just a few low performance, frustrated employees looking for a way to keep getting a salary making the least possible effort or wihtout working at all. More Important, they are not even 3% of the workforce and they certainly do not represent MVD at all.

Poor salaries from where Fuecys get their money are generally salaries around UY 12000 - 18000. Who at Sabre MVD earns that?!? No one!

Competitive? Yes. The best of the market? Probably not, but they offer other things that are extremely important to human beings and dignity.

Please tell these guys to go get another job in UY to compare conditions and have a reality check!

Do anybody know (besides lies -like the air conditioning improvements, LED lights and footrest that they claimed to be theirs!!) what the ones affiliated to Fuecys are ‘fighting for’ AND that they were denied using the common communication channels?

I understand it may take a while from the time an idea is proposed until is complete due to the budget process (I was one of the ones that proposed the footrest at Round Tables in late 2016) and had to be patient. In the meantime, no one was prohibited to use a box which worked for the purpose although not fancy looking.

Sabre listens and act... I think these guys affiliated to Fuecys with poor reputation are just looking for job security. Bad news is that if at some point business is disrupted by them, they leave no option for Sabre but to look for other horizons.

Be kind... use the open channels of communication and live and let live. Don’t compromise everyone else’s job.

Don’t ruin 14 years of business in Uruguay for nothing!

Learn about humility and get out of Fuecys. That would be a true ‘hero’s’ move. Stop ruining your reputation in the local market. People are laughing at you through Whatsapp, in the hallways, etc.

What is a poor salary for you ? Do you think sabre pays wealthy salaries ?? Rather than use poor or rich... I would say competitive salaries instead

So?!? Does that make him better? More clever? He will soon realize what Fuecys is about. They just want to make easy money with employees from Sabre... as nobody has a poor salary and Fuecys make money from a percentage of salaries. Wake up guys!

At least Iain (one of the delegates) has a better English than the one who started this thread!! Actually Iain is native in English !

Nothing, not even one little thing has been an accomplishment thanks to them but they claim to be... I hope people can discriminate the lies from the truth... and continue using the regular channels we have used all these years to propose ideas or make suggestions.

Workers' rights are more evolved in Uruguay than in the US. They have a constitutional right to form or join an union and can't be fired because of it (they still can be fired for other reasons)
