EUC ATL teams facing new bigger cuts. Ancilliary teams to be decimated around summer. EUC in Bengaluru will be picking up technical and ancilliary load with existing folks.

try explaining that to cloud strategy boss, na-jive. na-jive has no clue about cloud business but knows moving vc and vdi to azure will be best for him and his frat brothers. microsoft will devour vmware biz in about six months.

Of course it's a failure. vSphere was designed for data center. Now people want to masquerade it as cloud and force feed customers. Customers ain't buying. People keep clinging to this delusion about "private" or "hybrid" cloud: cloud is cloud, private cloud ain't cloud, it's enterprise datacenter that has been saturated, hybrid cloud isn't cloud it's at most an utility to help datacenter communicate with the real cloud which lives somewhere else. The whole notion that vmware should and customers would buy into the b---s--- vsphere/vcenter as cloud argument reminds me of Microsoft's "windows live" days. Even MS wasn't stupid enough to have windows dictate how it develops Azure.

This is a new world and if you want to survive it better adapt and develop something new, dressing up your old pig won't make it a falcon, it certainly would never fly. As VMware pathetically has been attempting to do.

Additional pressure from Dell Tech and SllverLake bosses for VMware, EMC & Pivotal to further consolidate operations, program management, corporate marketing, sales functions from Atlanta, GA & Boston, MA to Houston, TX by year's end. 60-80% folks in PA, CA may survive. From various accounts hiring by Google, FB, LI is still hot. Hope to move there in May.

Vmware is a piggy bank for dell’s debt now. Plan is to move out of Silicon Valley to cut costs. Next layoff notifications coming in April. Please be prepared colleagues. Engineering goes to India and everything else cut or moved. New cloud services are a failure. Very slow uptake. Customers not adopting.

Consistent with first post in this thread except April versus May

MobiIron hiring and Microsoft too
