All you need to know about TK’s org is how f:Ed oracle cloud products are - that just says it all

Maybe LE (who has no college degree) is impressed that TK is one of the very few top managers who actually has an engineering degree. Ok, it is in electrical engineering, but that is better than the MBA types that infest the upper ranks of most large corporations.

Oh my god. That explains why all the management under him are such total a--holes. He screams at his directors and they scream at the managers under them. They scream at the developers and harass them so that nothing ever gets done. No wonder you can't pass information up the chain.

It's doomed, all doomed. Clueless leading the clueless.

Maybe he's got something on LE, knows about something LE doesn't want out in the public? Maybe he's just a good tennis player? Or maybe he does something for LE that no one knows about.

Must serve some purpose to LE to stay there.

He is a foul mouth in the meetings. Drops the F-Bomb. G-D constantly to intimidate and scare. So scary.... Really? 5 foot 5 inch little man with Napoleon syndrome.

Somebody should sneak a recorder into a TK meeting; the reason people are afraid of him is his abusive temper. The changes in direction every 18 months resulted in a lot of wasted effort. This on top of trying to get all those acquired products to play nice with each other where no two of them had similar architectures.

This post is the absolute truth!! I have seen TK evolve over the past 15 years.

For some reason, he caught the LE's attention. He started out a PM, promoted, promoted, promoted, promoted....how many folks did he have to stab to get there?

Well, atleast he has improved on his 'personal' skills. He is more sensitive in his old age. They must have sent him to 'Executive Charm School', He has learned to smile during

his presentations and demos, uses hand gestures, wears nice suits and shoes, etc. Also, he must have gotten rid of that beat up BMW he used to drive to work many years ago. Cheap @ss. Still a very cold person.

The stable products are those that came through an acquisition. The Fusion folks should assign those acquired company resources to our fusion development and let go of the others.

Agreed. I left the big O earlier this year after coming via a cloud acquisition and watching them s--- the life out of it. While the vision of Fusion is interesting, in reality it does not stand up competitively to other SaaS products in most cases. You have to buy into using the whole stack and waiting for a roadmap that is vague, and very few companies are going to do that. Once you leave Oracle, you realize no one else is actually talking about Oracle. The leadership there seems to be living in a vacuum. It's hard for me to see how Oracle transitions to a leader in cloud... but hey I could be wrong!

Years ago he said Cloud was critical and that it was the future. 2 things will happen. We will be thought of as a dinosaur and a company who couldn't transition or we will be seen as the company who successfully pivoted to the cloud and made the leap.

Years later, which scenario is coming more true?

Agree. I have no idea why TK is still where he is. He has no industry-wide vision, no leadership, no charisma, no passion.. Just "revenue blah-blah revenue blah-blah cloud blah-blah". Useless guy that constantly killing the industry and Oracle's software business. Shame.

Totally agree. It's a disaster and mostly due to seriously bad management and bad direction.

There are good developers and some good managers lower down the stack that never get utilized due to confusion and mismanagement.

Some oversight and correction for those managers who spend all their time attacking other managers and employees would be nice to have, too. A little cooperation would go a long way.

All TK ever did was sell his stock options.

Oh, and don't forget playing basketball with his kid because that's all he is really good for.
