@2ghn, I'm one of the people you're referring to. I've seen horrible things that will no doubt haunt my psyche until the day I leave this earth. To now be mocked and dismissed by virtue of the year that I was born only adds to my burden. If people could fathom the injury and hurt they cause with stupid misdirected statements, maybe they would take pause before they heap undeserved cruelty upon others.

I went over to the wireless site and, although it was primarily older posts (24 hrs ago), it seemed most of the posts were genuinely about layoffs rather than quotas, Hums, commissions, VLDP's, Rambo, and the like.

As I have stated before, I will absolutely not stand down. I worked hard enough to retire with my Verizon pension and frequent this board to keep an eye on my other Brothers. Retail are NOT my brothers. When I was bringing sandwiches and coffee to my brothers during the strike last year, the juvenile retail reps were laughing at me and called me “old.” So I will NOT sit silently and let them post on a board for MY band of brothers!
I don't mind Verizon Wireless employees posting here. Verizon is Verizon is Verizon. But we all should stay on point and not complain about discrimination, commissions and unions. This site is to discuss layoffs and job security and unfortunately those topics get lost in all the noise about retail commissions.
