@1djw People pay what something is worth to them, not for how valuable the work or the materials are that went into producing it. If you own a car for example, then you were quite stupid to put your money into something that from an objective point of view definitely isn‘t worth what you were stupid enough to pay for it, you little idiot.

OP is not upset. Just pointing out the facts. Intel is in log term decline. Intel is a total disaster of a workplace and the employees know it. The market knows it, and new high tech whiz kids know it. The new lifeblood whiz kids of 2018 and beyond are staying clear of Intel.
Google is #1 because the list is based on nonsense like „I am proud to tell people I work here“. So yea, people would be proud to work at Google even if they had to undergo forced castration or daily waterboarding.
What is quite revealing is that despite this, Apple is not on the list.
I don‘t dispute that Intel is a sh--ty place to work, but Google #1?? Bullcrap!
