We may as well start a thread on 2018 layoffs at Citrix. Post your predictions.

Realize that they don't give a rat's patootie about you. It's all about shareholder value...and of course executives making big bucks. The first thing you cut when you're going south is people; always been that way, always will.
@umc my feelings exactly. Whatever happens, I'm not sure I'm going to stick around, it's going to be a jumpy, nervous and unpleasant place to work for quite some time...
Will there be anyone left in 2018? Anyone who doesn't get hit by the layoffs will by applying elsewhere because we are all sick of this sh--. Citrix used to be an awesome Non-Corporate Corporation who loved their employees and their employees loved Citrix, it was good while it lasted. (Shot out to Mark T despite the critics!) But .....time to face reality and get on with life elsewhere.
I do not see things in the pipeline that may allow us to turn things around.
I have no confidence in ETL, therefore I am predicting:
-
ETL will make more money in 2018 than in 2017
-
There sill be two rounds of job cuts totaling in 15% overall workforce reduction
-
We will raise prices for everything
-
If lucky, we'll be acquired by a company that knows what they are doing (unlikely)
-
I will be cut in Wave 1 2018 RIF
Board members and execs taking home $20m+ in salary and shares, 2 engineers left in Bangalore writing code 24/7
MDX discontinued or sold off. MDX team will be consolidated into Cloud.
10% total workforce, FTL emphasis. A new CEO. 20 pct market cap drop. All of this before 8/1/2018
Site consolidation - I reckon at least one office will close, possibly one of the UK ones, they don't need 3
Products - can see some more non-core products given the chop
Cobine the above two and you'll get quite a few people going, and it really pains me to say it. No time to be bitter about it, just got to work out what to do next...
