Confirmed. Multiple rooms booked by the same HR Resource for Oct 4th in FTL.
@1zdk: Some of the rooms are booked for the full day, meaning it's not a simulcast event.
It’s definitely lay-offs. It’s been seen on multiple calendars for multiple conference rooms at multiple offices, at the same time. That being said, suddenly this afternoon the calendar is clear on that day at my office. Probably because we found it.
Maybe, since it's only 1/2 day, it's just an event, a random non-layoff related event... Vendor? Prezo?
My previous layoff experience only took the beginning of the day. Those who were still around after 12 or 1 were not being layed off. You'd be amazed at how many people you can lay off in 4 hours. Especially with 4-5 HR representatives in a room.
A friend in IT just told me their rewards program has been put on hold. This was abused last time during layoffs by people recommending others for large rewards once they had been given the push.
Not a good sign
It appears that the rooms are booked only for the 4th, and many of them only for the first half of the day. This would seem to imply that the layoffs may be of a smaller scale than the larger ones seen in years past, where layoffs were conducted over the course of a couple days. This is also consistent with the idea that layoffs would be smaller in scale, but conducted on an ongoing basis.
It is also possible that they may execute their layoffs in a more efficient manner than during previous iterations, but this does not seem very likely to me.
Never mind. Just found it. It's definitely happening. F---.
schedule assisant in outlook for rooms
How can I check this for my local office?
only checked 851 and 899, various floors
Which buildings? 851? 6363?
Let’s do it. I mentally checked out anyway
