Clowns. How is that all-Ecom-to-AWS strategy going now? FH never had a clue what that really meant and spent all of his time falsifying numbers to sell to the FoF bunch. SDS was conveniently dismantled and re-orged accordingly to support the lie, and incompetent management projections around it.
Guess what? They are both gone and SDS has no chance of either supporting the mountain of tech debt or moving away from it! The remaining good engineers are going to be more strained with outsourced ‘help’ and toxic culture, as external options come up they will leave one by one...so all tribal knowledge of applications and how they run will be gone.

Breaking news confirmed by SG this morning: Chief Legal and CTO gone by end of November. CFO end of fiscal year, and Chief HR also resigned today, no word on last day. This is a cover-up.

The chief of legal and chief of HR were both aware of the s-xual harassment issues. This is telling. Get rid of them before it all hits the fan. The CFO is understandable. Another person had come in over her so it was redundant. Legal and HR? Maybe they didn't do what they should have when they should have. If anyone has a complaint to file I would step up the timeline. It needs to happen before FM leaves. It is still doable after, but adds a layer since you would have to file where he is living. It smells like Shira is trying to keep this quiet. No announcements in the press and they are all leaving. Maybe she needs to be the next to go.

During dot com bubble, I was at a startup with similar issue. we IPO'ed and the C officers wanted clear before the bubble collapsed and somebody needed to be sued and sacrificed.
I always gave SG a lot of slack because she had to clean up Ron's mess, but appointing FM as CTO was an awful decision and demonstrates she is also a poor leader.

So true. Many speculated when Shira was appointed CEO that the board really wanted a sale, not to make Staples viable. They knew she didn't have the knowledge and leadership and they were right. They promoted a weak leader and now look. I wonder if in 5 years there will even be a Staples?

Wow, this FM guy is not very liked. But lets not talk about his personal life, wife and kids. Staples is known to promote unqualified people into managerial positions. That's the problem, weak people leading us. This is so sad, and here we are. We are sold, and privately owned. No more playing. They will weed out the weak ones, and they should.
He should have a breeze getting another "CTO" position - oh wait, he has no technical degree or experience and has never written a line of code in his life. Back to running product groups into the ground I suppose!
