As it stands right now .. OSP aren’t doing anything Fiber related .... Some Guys replied to an Email a while ago and without any interview or anything they are part of the FTTH ...

I know... there's no dead weight slugs here... all exemplary workers, no one kicks jobs, no one blows off work for others to have to clean up... the company lied, or they just don't think your worth training... if you dont like it, leave. If your as valuable as you think, you'll land on your feet.

Of course they lied... There was zero truth in that entire sign up. They also said you could go ats union or not. They quickly changed that lol. The reason is simple, all TRUTH about ats would have to be disclosed.

About a year ago they sent out an email about SWAT position and if you were interested to click on the link provided if you missed your chance you have no one else to blame but yourself

Osp isn’t splicing anything. They are routing fibers through a can. A monkey can do that.

The reason your not being asked is because your not lazy an get your 100 point route done every shift. Why ask you to go when they have guys who do 3 calls a day . Then ask to have work removed. Your not making your sup look good. So you are choosen to go to ffth. They want work horses to do there field work. So the lazy asses can pull 10 poles in an 8 hour day.

No postings that I have seen ... guys are being asked ( certain guys ) is it a promotion ?? Not really ... But I am sure a lot of US would like to get some exposure to fiber , and it’s not cable pulling it’s the splicing portion that OSP is kind of getting left out of ...

Perhaps we need to dive a little bit deeper into what the hell is going on here. We could be looking at possible EEOC violations here.

Nope you mean nightmare. Those techs are not splicing fiber they do crap work like pull fiber through easements an chop done trees and lash it to the strand. Osp is doing the real work. Although they have yet to even check to see how much of the ftth will not work. Theres been plenty of time for animals an bad techs to ruin the already run stuff. So be happy they will get the same fate as us field techs. What you should be doing is praying a new career.
