Have you been paying attention @1fbm? From Open Forums, to the Oregonian to several posts on this site.... it's LESS. They've been saying there won't be one like the last one (2016) SINCE the last one. Nothing has changed.
If someone did not take the package last year and stayed to get this year’s package. Would he get more, considering his salary during his employment between the 2 package offerings？
I know the folks in Asia got 1 month year capped at. 24 months. US no.
I ERPed and didn't get 1 month per year. I got 1 year which I believe is what the other ERPers got. Actually, 14 months if you think about it... they gave 1 year plus paid you through 6/24, even if you walked out day 1 after submitting your ERP (4/24 or thereabouts)
So you're saying those that got VSP last year got more than those that ERPed?
Act did give out generous severances at least it was one month of per 1 years worth of service. Good luck to those affected.

This year, multiple workers facing layoff say Intel offered them only one week of pay for each year they've been with the company.
I've heard that those affected get 2 months to look for a job (amid frozen reqs, and a lot of other folks all looking for the same non-existent jobs). Sounds like the old time redeployments to me. with a paltry severance.
This sort of quiet layoffs (officially "redeployments") were happening through the entire year across different business groups. Only thing that is different is that somebody in finance went straight to the press to complain.
Anybody knows what package were they offered? Also, was Europe affected as well?
