You can call it SD-WAN or UCaaS or voice/data packets delivered by dancers in pink tutus, it is still telecom.

"....who understands little about telecom." Listen to a single earnings call and you'll understand that they are becoming WAY more than a telecom. If you believe you're still working for a phone company, then you are limiting your vision severely. They've made a LOT of mistakes, but being clear that they're not just a phone company anymore was not one of them.

As to the sales guy that's convinced he built this place from the ground up over the last 5 years, look at your companies' revenues, you already failed. Happy you got to stroke your ego though, good job out of you, lol.

The talent they did keep is looking now..... I am one of them and not the only one!! They have no clue how to treat people with respect and dignity from the top. It's run by a bunch of people that don't care about their individual contributors which equals to treating their customers like crap. The managers treat you like you are in kindergarten and most of the people below them are smarter then them.

The perception I see is that by keeping you at the company they must automatically think there are no options for the best talented people to go somewhere else. If I do get let go, it would be very easily to sell against this place. It's wise they have not touched me yet IMO. The deep and wide relationships are something you can't take away. But stupidity might over-ride their arrogance. The way I see it is if they do let me go, they are going down anyway and I would be able to help them.

In the mean time, I will continue to grow revenue and reduce churn. Something I have been doing from day 1. Built this place from the ground up but have watched management tear it down from the sky down. Now the new leadership thinks we can change the company and the brand by firing everyone? They just fired all of the folks that knew where everything is from each company that was acquired.

I am collecting their checks as long as possible...but they don't understand....... the crap I have witnessed the past 5 years has demotivated people to do the minimum. It has been very sad to witness. I really want to work but can't get anything done anymore. It's a matter of time now IMO!

Windstream can last for a couple more years, when some debt comes due, unless Aurelius forces them into Chapter 11 bankruptcy sooner. The FCC and various state public service commissions will weigh in during bankruptcy since they need to maintain 911/landline services to Win's ILEC subscribers. The challenge for a bankruptcy judge will be finding another telecom operator who wants to take over these customers without owning the underlying assets, most of which are now owned by Uniti. Let's hope another operator is better than the current inept executive team, who understands little about telecom.

They are letting all of their best talent go. Not long.
