Do you know whether the hiring freeze for the Weather Company will be in effect much longer? I wanted to see if any insiders would be willing to share whatever the rumors are about this - it's has been in effect for a while now and there is a few options I'd like to explore - thanks!

Regarding “outside projects” - Everyone in the data analysis group has a business on the side: website design, consulting, some other job. They spend half of their work hours on these other jobs.

Another acquisition that they will flush down the toilet like so many others. Hopefully it wont run in the IBM cloud because as unusable as it is now it will be worse after they stand it up in Softlayer which a 3rd rate cloud offering.
The website, weather.com is in pitiful shape. It is barely usable. Is it running on the The IBM cloud yet?

They should lay off all the old data analysts. They don't do anything except gossip, flirt, and work on their outside projects.
Not any time soon. They also had some cuts in July. More to come, likely - they are not making money and Ginny is under pressure.
Go do something else.
