Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel CEO Brian Krzanich Reveals Some of His Best Leadership Tips.😂

Brian Krzanich has led a major reshaping on Intel Corp.'s (INTC) business since being appointed CEO of the legacy chip giant in 2013.

When he stepped into the role, Intel was in the throes of a declining PC market, which meant that it needed to begin looking elsewhere beyond its PC and data center CPU business in order to stay afloat. Krzanich said Intel was a "single-product company" where PCs were 80% of the business. Intel's PC unit now makes up a much smaller share of the company's overall business, but it's still managed to buck industrywide declines and continues to grow.

He quickly saw that emerging technologies like cloud computing, autonomous vehicles and 5G wireless networks could become big growth markets for the semiconductor company. Cloud computing and autonomous systems both generate a lot of data, which is where he believed Intel could step in. The company began positioning itself as a data center first company, making the chips that can analyze and process all the information flowing from new, complex systems like cloud computing platforms.

It means that Intel is no longer restricted to the approximately $45 billion PC CPU market and can now claim a growing share of the massive data center chip market, which Krzanich estimates to be about $260 billion.

Wow BK had the amazing ability to see the server market..sorry what's the new speak "cloud'.. grow literally when everyone else did?

Real genius there...

BS!

Cloud through servers would have happened anyways. Almost all growth is through market forces, and close to nothing can be attributed to Intel achievements. Intel failed in every single thing they tried or touched, as we can expect from new businesses (cars and mix of AI). Why, depending how detail you dig, you can see that for example NVidia is improving their product 10 to 40 on yearly basis and delivering consistently, while Intel is not.

I have a blue badge thanks to BK's leadership on diversity. My daily work does not change, just type data into computer. I'm doing this as an engineer now, not as a clerk before joining Intel.

And right on time Human Resources Proxies arrive (@ODYtqeb-1nuf) to end any actual dialectic exchanges and to work to control the message and protect the brand.

Here's a suggestion to put in your report - end the big-brother nonsense and be 100% transparent for a change. Most of us here want Intel to succeed but tire of the toxicity coming from the top.

The childish emojis and persistent hurled insults give you away everytime. Please follow D.B. to Google - seems she could use your help right now. - regards

BK, a visionary!?!? Don't make me laugh. OP must have meant he's a "sad joke". The only people who believe he's a visionary are those mindless clones he's employed who are only there to hold onto their jobs, not be productive, and not challenge anything he says. Just money, only money, for themselves, and will fire every good employee to keep it that way.

The most scary thing about BK is he doesn't even know how stupid he is! At least Gump knew he wasn't to smart, nothing more dangerous than a guy like BK who is just way over his head and doesn't even know it, frightening and even more frightening the BoD doesn't know and do anything about it.

The 🤡 from San Jose State is nothing but a factory manufacturing monkey. He has not had one visionary moment during his rise from engineer, to AM, to Factory Manager and his later roles in ATM, TMG or the COO office. Everything new breakthrough he has chased was after the fact. Visionary identifies and creates new markets, Intel under BK is a chaser and failure to date. They have overpaid for every acquisition and will lose billions on each over the next few years.

Joke is on the share holders and the saddest the remaining employees

@ODYtqeb-1ype - honestly? "visionary" is one word that cannot be applied to Intel's current executive management. A visionary is someone who takes risks by following a path to the future nobody else sees or is following. Steve Jobs, Robert Noyce, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos - those are examples of visionaries. BK et al. are trend followers not trend setters.

Mindless yes men (let's call them circuit Koolaid drinkers {see a mirror for an example}) are the ones who need to be weeded out.

When you got 🤡🐷🐵🦃 like you do in Intels leadership circle you have the makings of great diversity required to fly!

Tell me one time intel has been profitable and competitive where they diversified and had real competitors? What has changed to make the situation more likely?

That's why Intel needs BK. He's a visionary. Intel can't just rely on one product. It needs to divest. Like its workforce, diversity is best.

The real problem is all the stubborn naysayers that are dragging down the ability for BK and Murthy to bring the vision to life. Like the saying "It's hard to soar like an eagle when you are surrounded by turkeys". It's Intel's best interest to continue to weed out those folks that are a barrier to Intel's success.

Let's make Intel great again.
