For crying out loud. I hope this is fake news by OWG trolls. I will remain calm unless emoji confirms this. Otherwise it is fake.

Are you sure the trigger will be pulled in July and not June? I don't think they will wait that long.

Why it must happen, it's the stock, competition, slow x86 growth, wasteful and failed initiatives, and lastly TMG failure on 10nm and 14nm.

ACT2.0 here we come! Spend the weekend getting LinkedIn updated, resume polished and your house ready for sale. It is summer time best time to relocate the family and get the most for you house. You know it must be done.

The only reasons the majority of employees are there is they got no real viable other options to work at anything similar in pay and type of work.

The poor fools in RNB are the exception.

It will be ugly times with ACT2 gets going shortly as those that got kicked out Olga with few options while those still left on the Titanic feel terrible with no options either.

No wonder moral and distrust of management is at epic levels.

@3br-

Yes, but replaced OWG with URM. An obvious way to fix Intels problems, right? Emplo at Intel now transactional, a subtle but major shift that erodes what once made Intel great and able to muscle thru weak management.

It this is true, it must because intel hired back almost all the HC that was eliminated in ACT by now, less than a year later.

Sadly what @NxeOBfj-3nbq says makes perfect sense for me. Thursday I tried to set up a 1-1 with a colleague for next week. He declined, saying he is leaving Intel. I think he is not leaving by his own will because he was forced to relocate with ACT (after all the troubles for the relocation why leave Intel?) and also our manager is unaware that he is leaving because it was our manager who recommended setting up the 1-1.

Maybe it is only a coincidence, but what @NxeOBfj-3nbq says explains what I saw first hand.

@NxeOBfj-3zss VPs and GMs have finalized all the names. Die tot th extreme sensitivity FLM and SLM are totally in the dark. HR based on ACT learning have a new and streamlined process where even searching g conference rooms won't yield any clues. Also the Oregonian mole has been eliminated

@3zgf. "Targets have already been informed" hardly makes any sense if lay-offs were to start next week.

Don't know about other groups but the pions in my areas are clueless, are those in other groups that stupid and unaware as my group at the impending cuts?

All groups are in play. The gap between costs and required drop in cost to maintain margins means everyone is in play.

The scenarios were already presented to BK as ACT2, but the scope and urgency has grown with major program delays and TMG continued failures.

If this were real it would be on OregonLive already... If there is anything that is consistent it is that there are always leaks of documents that go with these layoffs...

Those in denial, please expand why you are so bullish that all is well?

No AMD?

No Windows on ARM?

No Price or Margin erosion as 10nm adding smaller and faster die with more output and revenue per wafer as is the amazing 14nm yields to boost margins?

Headcount and cost way down compare to last year?

Spending way down compared to last year?

ASP and demand going through the roof just like Memory, LOL?

Computex was a blow out success with excitement at all the intel new products?

IoT, drones, watches, AI, autonomous driving, modems and ICF, VR now driving huge revenues and margin increase?

Sorry all not happening and thus the need to ACT!
