July 2019 after a few quarters of 10nm yields and depreciation and most production still stuck on 14nm while AMD will be on TSMC 7nm and it will be time baby?

@2fwoq - Thanks for your input, HR. Unfortunately, memory is a small part of Intel's pie and will not save the quarter. You are looking at a 3.6% shrink of PC revenue YOY and a 5% market share loss to AMD. 12 straight quarter of PC TAM shrinkage QOQ and 6th straight year of decline YOY. 3rd quarter is going to be horrible for Intel and 4th quarter will not be much better.

Five year plan, more like spin that will fool Wallstreet for five months or so the more ACTs from the 🤡🐵

@Pirrfx5-1wmc Can't deny the facts that are out there for all to see!

Why more ACTs are a certainty, to reduce costs due to BK's TMG failures. More cuts of all kinds as this is the beginning of the end, unless already 685+ as was done on 22nm!

Let me help you by stating with 14nm, hope you 🤡 trolls smart enough to understand

The 14nm fab tools which cost tens of billion are for the most part all depreciated, so no to little cost to Intel for them. The people and consumables like wafers, chemicals and spares as well as building are still costs of sales. But these are smaller than depreciation which is mostly done. What is the revenue per 14nm wafer, say yield is 700 good die/ wafer and they sell for 100 bucks, so what is the revenue per wafer, huge! So even with higher Intel costs profits and margins are dang good! That is why the slowing decline of x86 and full 14nm make Intel look good for now at least.

Now intel has spent how much on 10nm over the past 4 years, let's say 3O billion in tools. If Fabs isn't in production, the tools aren't depreciating. So today the 10nm tools are sitting at full value as assets. BUT when they start running production that 30 billion worth of tools starts depreciating and they start appearing as cost of sales. All them home owners with houses as rentals know about depreciation. That depreciation is a pure add to COST side of the ledger that isn't happening right now, then add the consumables which are small potatoes comparing to deprecating $30 billion of tools. Now the last add what is the yield on those wafers, I telll you it ain't 700 die per wafer X 100 bucks. Also nobody paying $1000 for 10nm Canon or Ice either. Nope intel willl sell them 10mm for a couple hundreds max as sever is last to come to 10nm.

So what does cost look like once you start 10nm production and it ain't at historical yields. SS ain't no idiot and said I ain't staying on the titanic!

So new CFO has a HUGE margin issue when 10nm starts! Lots of depreciation cost with OUT revenue to balance it.

BTW think about TSMC or Samsung and their other fabs running older nodes where the tools are fully depreciated and costs low and yields high, pure profit even though chips sell for a few dollars, almost all profit to the bottom line that Intel can't do as it has nothing but leading edge capacity these days.

Yup when 10nm ramos great ACTs for sure as BK and CFO have to cut more costs!

Of course nothing to worry about if you are working at Intel as the 🤡 CEO has said 10nm is right on historical trend for yields 😂

@1Dfxy - Agreed. Mother of layoffs did not happen as advertised, but it should have. Intel is in worse disarray than ever. ACT2 needs to happen ASAP, maybe next year. The klown should go this time.

Intel's chief financial officer spoke openly about bloated staffing levels earlier this month, questioning the need for so many "layers of people" at meetings and signaling his intent to bring those numbers down.

"Honestly, I think we have too many people," Bob Swan told members of Intel's finance group during a large staff meeting at the company's Ronler Acres campus in Hillsboro, according to a recording obtained by The Oregonian/OregonLive.

“yields are continuing to improve pretty much right in line with [traditional] ramps rates,” said Krzanich. “It’s a new technology so there are always some problems to solve, but we’re pretty comfortable with where we are at now,” he added.

If that isn't a public lie at an investor meeting I don't know what is truth. That will get BK sued as his true colors is show . That is how far the leader of the former largest semiconductor company and former leader of Moore. You think Bob, Gordon, or Andy would have said that?

In BK and Sohail's palm Intels process future lies, how is their track record, what has been delivered on schedule?

Last I checked 10nm promised to be coming in 2016, oops 2017, oops 2018. Why is there Kaby and Coffee? Was Kaby and Coffee there on the roadmap four years ago? All there was four years ago was plans of Canon and Ice, oops FUBAR! I have been spot on!

Talked to my buddies in TMG, 10nm situation is confirmed!

The next ACT will be brutal, may not happen for a while as the whole semiconductor market is booming so even the Titanic will appear to doing well and hide its fundamental future failure.

2018 the 🚢 will be split in two and plunge to the bottoms as TMG leaders face their 10nm failure.

Everyone in TMG know this fate and like the poor sailors and passengers on the Titanic can't do a dang thing about, help their souls when the ramp comes.
