Competitive FUD Campaigns

The Cisco and Genesys teams are checking, and creating/contributing to, the negativity on these message boards daily as a FUD/sales strategy.

I know because I'm one of them.

I feel bad for my ex-Avaya coworkers that are taking this stuff seriously. Customers are reading this as well, which is why there are competitive teams stirring the pot. There are some really good and loyal people at Avaya and I don't support these types of campaigns.

I don't think competitor misinformation makes a difference, there's enough evidence that Avaya is on a long drive down a dead end street.

My large multinational employer uses an Aura as a PBX... until it gets ripped out and replaced this summer. Good riddance, I don't think it will be missed. After using an IP Office and having access to every feature (in conjunction with the old Nortel 1140 desktop phones) I was spoiled. Using a 96XX phone on an Aura with most features not enabled is right out of the 1980s...

Absolutely. These seem like campaigns to spread negativity and I being an ex employee myself I know how great Avaya's products are and how competitive it is with relevance to technology. If you are an avaya employee who is constantly negative, please quit and look elsewhere. No one is stopping you.

Liquidation is coming. Soon. Creditors are done negotiating. All the flowery, positive sounding rhetoric from Corporate is just nonsense so people will keep working. The "leaders" should at least have enough respect for all the loyal Avaya people to tell them the truth. Lying week after week and spinning it positively is not doing anyone any good. Of course, the leadership is corrupt and morally bankrupt, so this will never happen. They're simply hanging on as long as possible to keep milking the company for fat paychecks and bonuses. Does anyone really think these idiots are doing a good job of managing this? Let's be real. Have you seen the bills coming in for all the professional help with bankruptcy? It's tens of millions of dollars and counting. Honestly, a few wild monkeys could do the same job for a lot less. And they would probably communicate more effectively too. The company is a laughing stock and anyone who remains here is suspect.

You really shouldn't mislead your former colleagues about the situation. No doubt there is some FUD being planted here by competitors, but the sad reality is that Avaya as we knew it is dead. You only have to read between the lines of the most recent C-11 update to see what's happening. It's code for "this is off the rails and we have come to an impasse in the restructuring negotiations with creditors" The ultimate conclusion is C-7. Everyone knows it. People would be well advised to get out in front of it and make a change rather than engaging is wishful, delusional thinking.
