Niblock said at the start of the years Lowe's stock to $100 a share by end of FY17 yet sold half his stock when it peaked at $85. SEC needs to investigate for stock manipulation. He is at best a mediocre CEO with a mediocre butt kissing management team producing underperforming results due to stupid decisions and total disconnect from their stores. Niblock needs to stop spending 5 days a week with Jimmie Johnson at the racetracks and do his job. Board needs to find some stones and demand accountability from or remove him. Institutional investors need to demand accountability from the Board. Let's remember this company was out pacing HD before the economic downturn and been pummeled by them since. IT IS TIME FOR NIBLOCK AND CREW TO GO.

Very concerning. I know a lot of people in LP are really concerned about this rumor, so there must be a little truth to it? Always have been rumors every time this happens, but this one seems to have some legs that has some worried? Hope it is not true.

Agreed it's about our family what's happened is unfortunate really to old school people and young ones who actually worked and cared yes there are a lot more younger ones I see ones that are lazy but also a good amount that really have showed work and have applied themselves to the business because of the good training of the *old school men and woman , >>people<< got effected either way . I went to specialist and now I'm worried again that my job is on the line all over again. ☹️

I'm another young one speaking been with lowes for 13 years I have a house and a family to feed .

This effects All

@NTaeAv4-3jjq, I totaly agree with you. True #GOLD post.

We must not take this as a grain of salt. Before there were rumors, and Bam! Look what happened, this Holy restructuring came into play and many lost their means of supporting their families. I would say that we all must develop a backup plan. This is the cost of Big Business! They do not care about the little man. It is for us to care about ourselves and our loved ones that depend on us. God bless and provide for us all.

I was employed by Lowes for 12 years. Glad I got out when I did. Seems they are favoring younger associates. I, too, am old school. Give your employer a fair days work for a fair pay. Not any more, just stand around and collect the check. Too bad!! Sad for those who will lose their jobs in the restructure, they are dedicated employees!

"Young pretty girls " he says

I've been with lowes for 10 years I'm young yes but I work my a** off so this change had effected anyone in position that was a department manager and now a sales specialist . Age/race doesn't matter, yes there are lazy people but there are also a good amount that care and have really dedicated themselves to this company .

I am just a consumer, but also a spouse of a Lowe's employee.....Like many other Lowe's employee familys, we only shop at Lowe's, we quit shopping at Big Orange. I always felt that the two corporations, while similar, market to a different niche, and I already mostly shopped at Lowe's anyway. After the big "reorganization" in the winter, I am aware that it has created an enormous uproar at "our" store, just as it likely did at every location. All of the DM's who applied and didn't get selected were totally sh*t on, with no incentive to be a better or even be a "good" employee - after all, they were told, your getting a demotion, AND you have a year to "find" a position, otherwise your termed. For them the clock is ticking. But I also have an additional view of the overall picture, because I personally am unemployed, unable to find a job, and believe the overall economy is not that great, in spite of the stock market setting new records. We are seeing continuation of the rich getting richer, and the poor and middle class (which is really just a different way of saying the "upper poor class") getting poorer. A large part of lost sales for Lowe's is the shifting of prosperity to the rich, and likely is affecting a lot of businesses. Just look at all the Sears, Macys, Kohls, JC Penneys and others who are closing because people are simply just not spending money unless absolutely necessary. Just reading about your CEO and his multi-million dollar bonus chaps my a$$. That is a HUGE part of the problem, not only with Lowe's, but lots of other stores whose management and stockholders are further wedging the nation into the rich and the poor. For the other person who mentioned organized labor making moves, I personally think that is a great idea, and within the next 20 years will eventually make a comeback, for those willing to step up to the plate and embrace it like American workers did in the 1930's. Good luck to all my Lowe's family of employees.

Can I just point out the feeling of absolute dread that anyone who was a department manager and then made a CSA5 only to take the step down and become a sales specialist believing their job was safe. Lowes, my employer, had better enjoy following in sears foot steps.

I've been with Lowes 6 yrs and at my store see nothing but unhappy employees except for the new hires who really don't know what's going on just another corporate mistake. Keep the emotes happy and they will work their a-- off for you or chose to restructure and fail just like the last one

I wondered what was going to happen when No One is being held accountable for their job performance, managers walk by employees standing in a group talking while customers walk around looking for product. I hate to see this happen to a lot of good people, but honestly, most Sales Specialist in the store I work in are worthless, they are the worst ones for not going out of their way to help customers. And for the person who said something about the young pretty girls, they are right! We have a few of them who have moved up because.... I am old school and I was raised to work Hard and to go to work Everyday, a company hires you to work, not just get that paycheck. I have been at Lowe's for 8 and 1/2 years, I love my job, have Never called in just because I didn't feel like working that day, have probably missed 1 day each year due to illness. I truly hate the Lowe's it's become, but will give 110 percent as always until I no longer have a job

I was with Lowe's as an assistant manager for 9 years. They walked me in on January 17th at end of my shift read a paper to me which took 10 minutes then walked me out the door. I got one minute for each year I was there. That month they let 6000 employees go. Media said they let 2500 go. That's a lie. Niblock got a 10 million bonus last year and a 8 million 4 years previous.

The only thing in this text that makes sense is live goods going to pay-by-scan. That'd save so much money for the company, but would screw the vendors.

The rest reeks of sh*t. There's no way the company would last for more than 6 months if these "proposed" changes would happen. The company isn't that dumb. The current format has some struggles, yes, but this would be the nail in the coffin.

There's a lot of rumors I'm hearing from high level executives, but none of them are written above. Take all this with a grain of salt.

You wanna save money? Get rid of the Lowe's racing team. Then the CEO.

You are cutting the wrong corners to cut back spending...

I will say I will be going back to Home Depot for my everyday shopping again.

No sure what Corporate is thinking, but isn't not working. I retired from Lowes after working there for 10 years. The moral in the store has gone to such a new low in recent months. Customer service is none existent. A lot of the knowledgeable associates are gone. Happy People make a great place to work and shop. I never shopped at Home Depot while I worked at Lowes but after I've seen the was Lowes has treated their loyal employees I'm done with Lowes. Home Depot has a new customer.

Worked at Lowe's for 21/2 years, wanted to be a part if a team, what a joke!!! Management rides those who will work and let the ones who don't, get a free ride. The problem isn,t with the good hard working people it,s with the piss poor management. God bless those who were dedicated, and may management and Lowe's learn there lesson the hard way!!!

I think only the a-- kissers and pretty girls will make the cut...after all MEN are at the core of Lowes! So they will allow the pretty girls in stores so they can look/drool at them. After that it will be just a boys club with a few pretty girls to look at, you make me sick!!!

Lowe's is likely being bought out. They stand to make more on the sale if they reduce costs and increase shareholder confidence Please don't be deluded about the Lowe's of the past. This is the future and this is big business, S---s for all of us.

Here we go again. We can not keep cutting these positions. What do they want? A store manager (who does not work) and 3 other poor souls to run a store. Well actually it could probably be done, since there will be "NO" customers. You have to spend money to make it. Old saying still stands. I hate Lowes. We use to be family. Now it's all so fake. Yes it is a business to make money. But it's not. Was at Sears yesterday. It's on it's last week being open. The store was so big and empty. It made me feel sad. Lowes will the same one day. What went wrong? Who took over and messed it all up. We were making money. People were working and laughing. Now everybody is sad,mad and don't even care. Everybody is kissing a-- so they are not next to go. But they are. Who came in and messed it all up? Lowes was my family for 20 years. I quit last month. To depressing to even want to show up. How many families will have to suffer while they restructure their own mistakes?

well Have not been in the Lowes family that long . Decided to stay because it was different co workers were friendly and very helpful from management down . Now every one that made me feel welcome are all just about gone or going. it is sad to hear the customers complain because there is not enough help and no one has the answers to their questions . Which is the result of laying off people who truly cared about the customer and doing a job well. It is not evident any more atour store customers are being greatly neglected and getting pissed and going else where . Being in retail most my adult life I see nothing but a big mess caused by greed once again of a ceo and and his board who make more money than God and do nothing to deserve it it is a very sad story and it will not get any better I am sure
