Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

Still

Feeling trapped here.

No way out

All dead ends

I have never felt so stuck in anything in my entire life than my servitude at state street and the inability to find s new job.

The label of failure is written on my resume when they seem employed at state street

It is a pariah in the financial industry

Anc the name is a cement block on my resume

Only wish I could go back in time and not even bother with the interview

Even with new skills it's tough to break through that barrier for external hires.

They know the reputation of State Streetband also know there are more of to come out and apply, they can cherry pick the best of the best.

It really is a shame the top levels st our company are really only interested in themselves and not employees or the actual company itself.

And all the outside world know it and we the employees get stuck holding the bag.

Take a free online course to get one new software skill maybe that will help.

I understand your plight, this company does keep you down in many ways and it is true the name doesn't glow on your resume like it did even just ten years ago.

@NHkPDHG-hzg Purchasing a franchise is a risky proposition. It isn't a bad idea but many people who invest in franchises don't always make a profit for the first couple of years and you need to have money to live on for a while.

Buy a franchise business. Get on with owning your future
