If they are deploying 3.1 modems what makes you think they are doing and all out fiber build.

Cablevision had fiber to new building in Jersey for the rich and they wouldn't get 1g speeds it's just a matter of time until fcc gets involve and catches altice not providing the speeds like they caught cablevision and now spectrum. They don't like to pay out of the horses mouth just walk around any call center and look under the desk or the last time someone cleaned up or look up at the vents and see the when did it ever look that dirty since cablevision own it. Cheap is a under statement

Yes. Docsis 3.1 can extend the life of coax, but that's it. Sorry union, our fiber build is real. I hope Oakland enjoys watching their jobs being outdated being built around them.
The fiber build is being run with all the money from the closings and firings. Goei said it himself there is no loss of capital or revenue. The goal is sort term spending for long term profit. Doc3.1 is being used is Europe and parts of suddenlink because some of those areas are rural and not ideal for fiber at this time. NYC, parts not all of jersey, Long Island etc are getting fiber runs because they are already partially fiber built. When they bought the company they bought the fiber to the nodes. All that's left is to extend that. That is why NYC areas get fiber while certain suddenlink areas get doc3. It's not rocket science dam must you all twist everything into a stupid conspiracy.

Fiber to the home is real I'm working on the project . 3.1 might be used in areas in which rebuild might be to difficult .
The fiber is garbage from Romania, all of the material we used to get was from quality vendors.Now we outsourced Logistics (which cost the company warehouse jobs) and the company USTC supplies all of the material and it is also cheap. This company will be ran into the ground
Fiber to the home is just a pretext to the real business. The business of management- Drahi is trying to sell his cost cutting management strategy to other American MSO's. With Each successful union vote, you guys prove that the US wont stand for his cutthroat b---s---. Then the next company he approaches might think twice about using him and his small team that reaps all the rewards.
@Altice we trust how would it be a conspiracy theory it's a assumption, I assumed when Altice took over there was going to be many people leaving, (voluntarily of course according to you) and layoffs Shelton. I guess I was right. So when there's a article contradicting that altice wasn't going to use 3.1 and were going full blown Fiber to the home. So are you saying altice lied about the 3.1 cable modem speed test. I am confused? I must be a nut could you elaborate all knowing? In the article it says its being deployed in Suddenlink So why have them join Ats all knowing? A lot of double talk you going 3.1 or Full fiber or wtf since Altice loves to spend (Sarcasm) lets build all three.
