Thread regarding Williams Cos. layoffs

Biggest bunch of clicks!

So true. Willams is the biggest bunch of clicks ever. People in leadership roles are in clicks that continually promote their yes men, regardless if they are qualified, while truly qualified people who are ethical go no where. Its discouraging and a huge blow to moral. These clicks can destroy career growths and its sad.

Washington D.C., Aug. 10, 2016—

How about being a little more understanding, no need to kick people when are they down. Why dont you try something different and build somebody up instead of tearing them down, you might actually become a real man or woman.

I think the click was the description of a high powered clique that constantly gossips in secret offices, the noise resembling constant annoying clicks.

You must be part of the clique that does nothing except micro manages, does nothing but takes all the credit for others hard work and blames workers for mistakes. Congrats you will do well at Williams, you are on the way to big things!

You must of have been lucky, any other company I worked for, was just like Williams in some cases Williams was much better than the others. They all had their clicks every single one of the them. What I don't like is the reverse discrimination and especially age discrimination that is becoming more and more rampant, not just Williams every big company.

Williams is the only company I have ever worked for that the management team is so under qualified. Most large companies the management team is in the positions they are in because they paid their dues. They are leaders not managers and they guide you in your career path. The want you to succeed and do better because most leader realize the better you look, the better they look. The reason this does not happen at Williams is because 90% of the management team got handed their positions from their buddies. That means most of there upper tier of management is under qualified. Instead of hiring good talent they hire more "yes" people who won't out them for not being qualified. Then you end up with a bunch of unqualified people getting rid of the people who actually know what they are doing. My advice, if you are a yes person and lazy, stay at Williams. You will be rewarded kindly. If you are a hard worker with ethics and want to make a difference either be happy you got let go, or run before they realize you are smatmrter than they are and let you go. I don't know how anyone with a bit of a conscience could work for this unethical joke of a company.

Williams forced H1B Visa holders to do their jobs before letting them go, this video probably explains the issue fairly well. Very Sad that IT Managers and Directors enabled this, then poor services to internal clients followed. So did true bottom line cost savings occur?

Just read an article that milihumans will not work for a manager, they will only work for a leader. LOL.

Now I understan md why every manager is calling themselves a leader, funny!

Ok, Stand up for what you believe, that is what you should do, but make sure you have an exit plan if you do it. If you don' have an exit plan just shut up and do what you are told to do! Very simple!

What leadership are you talking about? I know what a real leader is.

All managers aren't leaders, only some, just because they call themselves leaders doesn't make them one.

Yes

Option 4 is to challenge it, but have an exit plan because termination or demotion is a vey high probability.

I think the leadership should not accept clicks and do everything they can to not tolerate it. Change will never happen if everyone continues ignoring it, accepting it or joining it. Stand for something something or fall for anything.

OK, At every single large company where I worked at there where clicks. If the leader of the click successfully controls the company, the few people in the click may get all the promotions, raises, bonus and perks. You have three options;

  1. Try to become part of the click, may be impossible.

  2. Accept it and ignore it.

  3. Quit and Move to Another Company.
