@MqoYh8j-2iix, you first you troll...
I see you didn't put your name.
Before you ask for names, read the rules about the forum dumb azz.
Why are you guys not putting your names on posting here AFRAID
@MqoYh8j-1sif It's is very easily to spot a management/corprate trolls roaming here. Any tech from any depot that knows an Oakland tech ask them how they feel... We're ridding high.... local 827 all the way!!!
Don't believe anything. Oakland is a disaster and in shambles. Never seen more unhappy and unenthusiastic employees anywhere in my life
Everyone knows sign up bonuses are a scam, wake up please !!!! Sign your life away, no thanks!!!
It was worth it just to get out of those ridiculous meetings alone.
Personally I was happy with what I had. The problem was the company was taking what I EARNED. I am perfectly fine with being frozen. No BS I give an honest days work and forget the place after that. Never wanted to gain just stop the bleeding.
What does everyone mean that they feel so much better now that the union is in? Other than the concern for your future in the new company (which I personally didn't get) what do you think is different? Management is definitely going to treat you differently now because they have to. According to the law you guys are basically radioactive. Everything will be 'by the book', frozen in time with no changes, until a contract. Is that what you hoped for? Serious question, what is really so good? (And please no responses from the union Star Wars folks. I really would like to hear from other techs)
All the techs in Oakland are sleeping really good at night, peace of mind is important!!!
Vote yes! Immediately felt weight off my shoulders. Just want to give a solid 40 hrs a week and forget the place when I walk out the door. Oakland is a much better place to work with none of the brainwashing and empty promises. I can not believe the amount of people that were No votes now recognizing the need for representation. I am extremely proud to be part of the Oakland family. The unity gets stronger by the day.
Thanks Obee but our Depot is fine. Not sure what you speak of but it's fantasy. Keep trying though. It's fun to see you waste your time
Even more.... Oakland now unionized employees may have noticed that "management tactics" are gone. It's business as usual. They have their world and you have yours. And your world is special. You just want to report to work, do your job and go home in peace. Knowing that tomorrow is just another day.
In the meantime, the other depots are still scratching their heads, hoping for some heavenly intervention. Perhaps God will get involved. Or, maybe the good fairy will grant their wish.
The only option left for them is to get a union involved. To put a "freeze" on employee abuse. The same employees who busted their azz to make Cablevision an employer to work for. Sure, Cablevision had its ups and downs..... but NEVER like it is today. Veterans know this and newbies have no clue of what the hell we're talking about. But in due time... they will.
I encourage all others to use what little power YOU have left, to at least, temporarily halt Altice (ATS) anti-employee campaign. Let the unions and ATS fight it out.
As long as they leave you alone.
To be at peace.
And to go to work....... the next day.
No division in Oakland. So glad we're union now especially after all the shenanigans they pulled after the voting (sups not answering their phones, taking the bagels & milk for coffee) really petty stuff.
The Oakland shop is definitely not divided. Actually feels like it has bought us more united. Some say including myself, they feel more @ ease now that we are unionized. I even heard some of the techs that voted no say they would vote yes if they were to vote again and that came after our 1st union meeting. Don't believe the hype! Oakland is united and strong. We're just waiting for the other shops to follow
I was also a No. I even tried persuading other tech to vote No. Boy am I glad it went the other way. Definitely not sorry now we have representation.
I was a no.. a big No!! But now we're all a Yes and a big Yes. I can't count the techs that said we're glad the union won. We started seeing all the lies and tactics they started pulling the very next day the vote won. Newark, they're going to try and sweeten the pot with all that ATS propaganda and union dashing b---s---. I'm telling you it's all BS!! Vote Yes, you won't be sorry.
