It is true and not a rumor. This is thumb rule, Company split only happen to end loss making division. HP split in to HP inc and HPE as HPE is loss making, Later to made name change to DXC to secure brand image and then closing it by giving WFR (Work force reduction) notice to it's employee. You understood that Leadship do not share this road map. But as a big lesson, if your company following the same scenario of split and name change, be alert.

I worked at HPE for 2 years and CSC for 2 months (laid off). Any of you long term CSCers who think HPE is some kind of elite outfit are going to be in for a rude awakening. The entire place is full of dead weight. Just a bunch of hold overs from the EDS days. The management was unbearable - the VPs would be in place year after year while revenues dropped 7% a year while HPE screwed up their cloud strategy. Guess what happened to those guys? NOTHING. They would go out and hire former HPE people and bring them back into senior management.

CSC bought HPE strictly to please wall street - with all the job cuts and data center redundancy and offshoring to be done it makes sense strictly from a financial perspective. But as far as truly being able to compete with Accenture or WiPro- no way. HPE too much dead weight.

To much deadweight. Management is filled with yes men with no skills or growing potential.

Finance and operations need to cut the management layers. Friends of friends with no hard or soft skills or education in required disciplines are running the show.

Expect more turmoil. Mike has no idea what turd rolled in glitter he just bought. Complete incompetence. EDS clerical staff promoted to leaders......incompetence running the show.

The S*** Show is hysterical.

What do you expect from a company that makes Eugene O'bum the cloud chief ! - a totally inefficient eds crony . There would have been some hope in hell if the cloud division was headed by some able CSC exec. Oh well - bad decision after bad decision.

Is it true that the salary cuts are effective April 3?

When are the changes to the severance package expected?

I would not be surprised at all, considering Meg herself is on the board of DXC. These people make me sick.

Employees brace yourself. Afraid that could be true. You hard work and loyalty will no be rewarded. Anyone in the 70K and above group will likely be hammered. This is an Indian company now so you will be at the mercy of the chief. Remember executives only see whats on the other side and not the person or family they will impact. It's the Indian way.Fight for your Survival.

It is fairly clear that WFR will continue; Nefkens confirmed that on his recent call.

25% seems a bit high, but they have stated that the intention is to make $1bn of 'synergies' in the first year post-merge. 'Synergies' = layoffs, and they will have to come from somewhere.
