I am hearing rumors of layoffs/restructuring today???

Hope they terminated the pos who deserved it - a few come to mind.
True at corporate but the person who said there were layoffs at stores is wrong. No cuts to stores.
If you were a contractor who was affected, you were terminated. Not laid off. No severence or anything else. Yes, that's a risk contractors take but knowing that doesn't soften the blow. Many had been with OD for YEARS.
If you were one of the many longtime contractors let go today, you were terminated. No severance, no assistance of any sort, just go home. Large portion of workforce at world headquarters are/were contractors, some for as long as seven years. So yeah, lots of us were terminated.

If you're let go along with hundreds of other colleagues for cost/restructuring reasons, and given the outplacement and severance that we ALL were - you were not "terminated". You were laid off. It's going to be hard enough to find a new job when you're unemployed, so at least don't present yourself in a worse light than necessary.
Bloodbath today- remaining folks which I am lucky to be in shell shock but heart goes out to those let go. Teams of 5 reduced to 1

30% staff reduction across the board, at corporate and in stores. Entire departments were let go.
Confirmed - I was laid off in the "first round" after the Staples acquisition got denied, and my former co-workers are telling me that there are massive layoffs happening today at many levels.
