The people who get an iPhone now are all in the modem business and know that the Cellularinsights article about the supposed better Qualcomm modem came from a paid Qualcomm shill and was a complete fake.

A free phone is a little better than free fruit, but not much. We should care about what drives the stock proce higher and keeps our jobs in the US. I can go to Walmart and get a phone.

If intel leaders saw the brilliance and potential of the smartphone even before the iPhone made its appearance. It was obvious to me that Moores law im three generations would put all the capabilities of the laptop in the pocket. But intel leaders were so arrogant and blinded by x86 🙄
Than even after missing that opportunity got a second chance when Jobs approached PSO, but he innarrogance saw an x86 competitor.
Now ARM has conquered all and a decade later and 50 billion dollars wasted all intel has is x86 and a fadin empire. Even leadership in silicon technology and a place at the forefront of Moore and manufacturing is gone
