HPE is to information technology what a juice extractor is to nutrition. An extractor can't produce anything of value unless you take some really nutritious ingredients and then proceed to extract the nutrients and the value and then discard what is left. People are pulp, seeds and stems...

HPE treats its acquisition's like late night TV commercials promoting the latest and greatest nutrition drink as though it had actually invented something when everyone knows there is no organic growth inside HPE. They just have to keep putting raw material into the juice extractor. Quarter after quarter they have to extract value from somewhere because they do not produce it on their own. Personally I think they are only doing this so they continue to look good to investors but the acquisitions are beginning to become like pull my finger jokes on a schoolyard playground. I think the board suffers from a bad case of groupthink not unlike the same type of group think that eventually sunk Titanic. My advice to anyone who is acquired by HPE is to learn as much as you can very quick. Update your resume and look for another job quick quick quick. The HPE culture is not the HP culture.

Share this site with HPE co-workers you care about -- especially those who are not aware of the perilous situation they are in, or those from the EDS days who feel like their seniority and expertise will make them immune from the impending NewCo WFR / salary reduction / benefit reduction bloodbath.

Look towards a brighter day by taking control of your career now! Stay positive and start moving forward.

Other companies are purchased, dismantled, and the leftovers are released. Don't believe all the internal propaganda that's cooked up for employees to think you're so valuable within the business because it's all just messaging. You'll accomplish great work while meeting your job goals one week and the next week get WFR'd.

Don't live with fear of making it past every Monday and also hearing from fellow coworkers that a good day is simply remaining employed with a paycheck.

You've been encouraged and warned!

Get out before you're WFR'd people -- it's only a matter of time.

Of course it's a good move for HPE. It makes it harder to compare results year against year. It gives the appearance of increased revenue. It lets them claim "one time costs". It provides justification for more layoffs. It helps them pull the wool over wall street's eyes. Seems to fit the corporate strategy perfectly!

But is this a good move for HPE?

The cost of acquisition translates to about 6000 jobs....more layoffs.
