Aicha has demonstrated incompetence in executing BK's flawed "strategy" - both, of course, are useless.

What @Kn8Kstk-1dqr describes is even sadder than hiring and keeping Aicha around because of the diversity program.

Fish rot from the head

It seems all the people commenting here don't have a clue about iCDG history and why the business unit lost so much money.

iCDG was acquired from Infineon after Infineon had tried hard to make the unit look good, so that someone would hopefully come along and buy it. It was an all-or-nothing game the management was playing. They created a highly competitive 3G modem at the expense of neglecting LTE completely. So in 2010, the Infineon modem business looked quite good but basically had no future. All they did in the LTE area was to acquire two companies to make it look as if they had a strategy. Luckily, Intel took the bait, because the modem business could not have survived another two years without a major money injection - money that Infineon didn't have. But Intel did. And that was the money that iCDG has burnt over the last five years - the money that Infineon had not been able to invest into creating a competitive LTE product.

Yes, believe it or not, that was the strategy of the Infineon management. That is how Mecklai explained it to us shortly before the acquisition. I am not even sure if Intel knew what they were getting into. But I have a feeling they did.

Well, Aicha came into the picture when it turned out that Eul was completely incompetent. And frankly, as someone who barely speaks English, he was a bit of an anomaly in an American company. So Aicha took over. And BK told her to move the modem platform from ARM to Intel, so she started doing just that. It's not her who focked it up though - that medal goes to the old Intel guys who had no interest of adapting their architecture to the needs of a modem. So that is why it failed. Not sure where you can find blame for Aicha there. You can blame BK for coming up with the idea and for not being able to break up the old Intel structures to get things going. And he is still the one who believes that Intel is one day going to sell a modem platform based on an Intel chip. Which of course is never going to happen. If you want to blame Aicha, blame her for not telling that to BK, because I am sure she knows that.

Sorry, this was probably too long for all those here who like to spout b---s--- without having the smallest bit of knowledge on the topic. But it's difficult to write a TL;DR with only two syllable words for that particular audience.

Aicha is a stupid $hit and is undeserving of her position. Should have been fired because of all the money she has wasted. Just the face of diversity. What a bunch of crap!

A diversity I'd rather not be part of.

It's an insult to be considered in pool of degenerate and low standard URMs.

As if being at stupid Intel isn't already bad enough.

Passing these last few months at lame Intel are the most painful 🙈😭😪

it's only mid November.

..........Am going to die 😭😭😭 waiting to leave.

Holiday season is supposed to be fun and a slow down but we got dumped with work in November (forgotten work that was supposed to be A FULL YEAR'S EFFORT) to complete before EoY.

Director fail, no leadership , no accountability or direction from the top. NOT REQUIRED when you have minion slaves.

I've been saying for decades... you should just hire the best, regardless of what race, religion or s-xual orientation they are. Best is the best and should be all that matters. And I don't mean to sound mean.... but if they aren't the best, it's not the right fit for them and they should go find a job that is.

I've always been hired in every job I had because I was a real good fit and qualified, not because I fit into some category.
