Intel wants to enter the automotive business? No German car producer will collaborate with a company that has no site in Germany or at least Europe. BMW would immediately stop engagement with Intel.

@1che - They will never close down Bangalore. Make it a green-badge only, or mostly green-badge, maybe. I agree with everything else you said.
Right now, their focus is on cost, and European sites are way, way more expensive. So that's where they'll focus their closures.
They will close the Dramalore site long before they close the German sites. Every Intel manager I have spoken to is very openly sick of the drama and backstabbing there, and the salaries are not low enough anymore to justify the low quality output and the complete lack of teamwork. I wouldn't be surprised if they already had well-developed plans to exit India or at least to turn Bangalore into a green badge-only site.
Hope so. Let's keep shrinking this Cutthroat, dishonest outfit.
@byj - Don't think so. The European (ex-Infineon) teams have been doing a great job. The problem is Aicha's weak leadership that hssn't been able to harness and channel that talent in proper ways. Of course, they will blame the issues on Europe and cut there, which will only make the problem worse. Ah, Intel.
