Thread regarding DeVry Inc. layoffs

What are the interest rates and default rates on Devry's private loans?

(1) What does Devry call its private (institutional) loan program?

(2) What is the interest rate on DeVry's private student loans?

(3) What is the default rate on Devry's private loans?

I know Devry can write the loans off, but ED was not happy with Corinthian Colleges or ITT Educational Services having private loans. I see in their last report that only collected $316K and charged off $2.5M.

@KYnbmsk-wuc, stockbrokers wouldn't know or care about Devry's students or private loans. But this does affect Devry employees if Devry was using a private loan program similar to programs at Corinthian Colleges and ITT Tech. It looks like Devry's private loans are performing very poorly, just like the Genesis Loans at Corinthian Colleges before they crashed. In 2014, ITT Tech got in hot water with the CFPB when they used questionable tactics to get students to use into their private loans.
