Defense to Repayment

So, if you attended ITT, graduated and are currently working in your field of study, can your loans still be discharged? I have filled out the Defense to Repayment. Now what do I do?

alumni that are working or not but their degrees are not relevant to their field of studies are entitled for loan forgiveness or even restitution. Bandwagoner like yourself, no.

I've been on contingent repayment plan since 1995ish of my BA, I've made attempts to have ITT help me continually through the years get me a decent job so that i can repay the growing debt (now at about $40k... been paying around $300/mo from my minimal job that i landed myself in 2009. I'd say im done with this loan if they go under because they treated myself the same way they've treated their business, poorly.

No job pays enough to actually pay back the predatory loans, that was ways 90% of the problem.

Are u serious? Ur working in the field u went to school for and u want to not pay ur loan. Your an a--hole. The rest of us that are enrolled currently will loose everything and all credits and u and ur scum bag alumni are gonna eat up the money before the current students can get refund. Wouldn't u be royally pissed if u were stuck with loans and NO DEGREE OR TRANSFERS TO ACCOUNT FOR IT??? get the f*ck outta here! Go get a lawyer for your shortcomings.

I called Navient this morning. Since I'm in school (not ITT) all my loans will show up saying $0 due. If you click on each loan from ITT, and if the balance changes to $0, then that means that DoE is trying to do something with the loans. She also said that they're getting a lot of calls from students that went to ITT, which is a good thing. She also said that DoE will send you a letter to let you know if your loan discharge was approved or declined.
