Intel is planning to enter Pakistan in a big way. We are exporting around US$60 billion in software which is growth area for Intel. Good for Pakistan.

@zcq, yup agreed, lots of IT jobs have been moving to Malaysia. IT Malaysia is a very powerful and influential entity in corporate Intel. Not sure if there will be a ACT2 but if it does, am sure more IT jobs will move out.

When you have three passports, the world is your oyster 😊😉😎 all that many options on countries and places to live in to chose from !!! Am bored of USA.

I would not mind living and working in Malaysia or India. Both are amazing, cultured, fun places. I have been applying for Intel jobs abroad but got no response to my application.

Since Intel is not really growing, it makes a sense to keep cutting costs. These objectives would make a lot of sense.

I hate to say that what we find rare and command decent wages are abundant and cheap in India and China. They have lots of technical ability just waiting to be utilised and they are hungry!

Actually they can move things very quickly it might start next quarter and finalise after a year or example.

Wouldn't be surprised at all. They have already moved a lot of design functions over to India and Israel, IT to Malaysia and Costa Rica, validation to Guadalajara, etc.

So this already started long time ago, it wouldn't be weird at all if they double down now in order to increase cost savings.

Nope, I haven't heard that, but!, if it happens I doubt it will be in the next quarter or so. Sounds more like long term to me if it's even true.
