BK will say that we should be thankful we still have a job and that bonuses are only paid in good times.

Can't he cancel his own salary?
ERP here. I look at my package as a huge bonus. It was way more than any bonuses I've ever gotten (I was a non-exempt employee). I am very happy. :)
this quarters bonus will be smaller due to one time charges for paying out for ACT 1.2B$, after mid-2017 bonuses will be bigger due to 1.4B$ annual savings from the results of the ACT program.
12% of workers were kicked out with really nice packages in one quarter. I don't expect great bonuses this year.
Bonus, stock options, health care, free office snacks etc are the common places where management looks to save cost. Current expense in off-loading 12k folks will have some bearing on bonus for a while ...
PSO had to cancel all promotions and salary increases back in his day. He did try to make up for it when business perked up by giving everyone an extra stock grant and I think, also an extra bonus--the details are fading on me now. Renee also was behind a 'surprise' 500 bucks at Christmas a couple of years ago. Bonuses depend on business success. I don't think BK can just decide to suspend bonuses altogether--it is part of t-comp--but no doubt the bonus will be much smaller going forward. I was in a low grade so I never got much to begin with, but I noticed both bonuses and stock grants declined over recent years. This is the reality of the declining PC market. Intel veterans tell me that back in the Glory Days a bonus was enough to buy an SUV (not while I was there!)
You don't move people across the country and close sites for free!!
That'll be the new saying on the back of your badge. "Be thankful you have a job"
None for you, peasants. You won't get a bonus but he'll still get his.
@Ilw9lNx-ssp QBP is 5% of net profit. You don't think the restructuring charge will effect net profit?
Cut the salaries of BK, MR and their pets (management), for 50%. Should cover.
"we should be helping management not complaining." Psst...management is the problem.
Quarterly bonus calculation doesn't include 1.2B charge. Don't worry about it. You will get it.
@ccp- This will not be the first time or last when Intel did not give bonus or pay raises. You better get use to it!
Bonuses should be top 20%,I think for the output most Intel slogs overpaid
That's why they haven't paid the 9K Cobra. It 's coming out of the Q2 Bonuses.
Corporations are about shareholders first. If you dumb@sses haven't figured that out, you shouldn't be working for Intel. I'm no BK fan and believe he needs to be sent packing, but holding bonuses makes sense during this obvious down turn. Question is, when will the up turn happen?
Typical BK. No innovation. Simply cuts expenses to show net gain to balance sheet. Intel is in big trouble and no longer respected.
That's BS. Bonuses are part of your total compensation package....
"be thankful we still have a job " The leftovers better get use to this because it is Intel's number#1 value for years to come.
Wouldn't be surprised. Anything and everything can be expected from the a--hole BK at this point.
