I understand. I was there a long time and a grad as well. I graduated way back in the late 80's when that place was "the place". Went to work there 15 years later and progressed theough the system. Always got promotions and pay raises. That was never an issue. Over the last 5 years of my employment I watched CP's desperate to inflate their numbers to keep their jobs. Keep the students in school no matter what. Dont let them fail no matter what. The students could wander the halls, eat, smoke and generally screw around most if the time but they had to pass. If you were in the classroom and they were out wandering nobody cared, nobody. So long as they passed.
Now, I am in a position where these guys apply for jobs and I have to interview them. These students have nothing to offer with a diploma. Grades? Anyone who hangs around with the right people there can get a 4.0. They dont have to learn sh!t and they will still come out with high marks. Attendance dosent mean squat. The instructors dont mark them late because they dont want to run the risk of pissing little loser off. The campus will give them make up hours for anything. They show up at work and pull that garbage and get fired. We end up keeping 1 of 4 because they know it all and will tell you that then they cant work.
I lived it and got the hell out if there while the getting was good. The end is near so run while you still can.

I spent over a decade with UTI after several years in the field as a graduate of the program, when it mean something to be a UTI graduate. My last couple of years were hell; overworked, under appreciated and constantly told to compromise with policies that were presented as to helping students, but in reality they were more about the bottomline. Due to economic changes and Washington regulations on for profit schools UTI began to sell its soul.
Instructions constantly got mixed messages to hold the line and focus on quality while the management was pressured to retain student that struggled to make academic progress or meet the basic student guidelines.
As I began to pushback and become more and more vocal about the " new direction" I began to feel the pressure as the upper campus leadership build a bogus case to push me out. Ultimately I was told I was being let go because I could no longer be trusted. Yet after moving on and working at a great company, I still feel the pain of what my UTI brothers endure because what most live today is not what they signed up for, it's not what I taught them and it's not what it was when I was a student or what it was when we first started at that once great company.
UTI, the only place that every campus profits but the company loses money. They lay off 75 people and save 22,000,000.00 thats 22 million dollars. that should tell you how out of touch and how grossly inflated wages are at home office. Kim's pay has sky rocketed. her first year she made 250k and with in 4 years she was making over two million a year. She and her good old boys club have ruined this company to bad, lots of potential.

I think their year ends this month or next and the annual earnings will be in the tank. More headwinds. More slides.

Here is the deal, why get rid of the employees? they aren't the ones that ran the company into the ground, KIMMY did, although there are a few greedy ones out there, especially at the RANCH. Start at the top, then work your way down. How many times does the instructor or office worker have to take up the a-- because some rich b--ch cant run a company without bleeding it dry? Word is rolling layoffs because they are getting rid of so many people they can't do it in one session. Mcwaters already prepped the employees with a couple emails talking about difficult choices and aligning to student levels her code for the company crashing and more people have to go

I have to agree Dave Burch is a P.O.S. He thrives on trying to get people fired. He a John quit UTI and went in business together and the business went broke. Rodger One of the 30 VPs hired both of them back. What I find troubling with this is Dave gave them notice and the next day walked out and did not work the remaining days has he promised. This company like these types of people. I worked there with them both and neither of them I worked directly with.One time Dave tried to get me demoted and done it and I went to the home office and the school director was fired a few days later.For you people who are still there do everything you can to build a case against Dave before he does it to you.
U.T.I. needs to get rid of that p.o.s head hunting thief Dave Burch, he should of been fired long ago along with John Berkohl for stealing, one of my fellow employees who is no longer employed with the company caught this and nothing got done, it just got swept under the carpet. Now Burch is head hunting all the guys that have been here the longest. He is just a pe--sanyway. this is the real reason nobody wants to work here.

Whats the word UTI? I have your employees contacting me for jobs but I think they just want out. Nobody has said anything about layoffs. They just seem to be coasting along and are broke or not spending money. People are being overworked and doing without supplies and support. The feeling is they may not need layoffs as people quit and they dont fill those jobs.

Is UTI next?
Time will tell.
I know people on the inside who still work for UTI. They are worried. I have had several good people reach out to me for new jobs or leads. Things are not well there and the people know it. I could not care less about ITT but heard about it from UTI staff. They feel that their time is limited there and the end it near. Once the feds are done with the others its just a matter of time.
The one post here is right, these kids come out of school with a 30k debt and no ability to get a job. Their parents likely get sacked with this debt. Sad.

Just look at UTI Facebook page. It's horrible!!! Their Marketing S---S!!! They have commercials on Cable... young students can't afford cable most of the time. They need to do more social media that doesn't bore you to death.
I.T.T. was effectively shut down this week UTI's biggest fear is that they could be next.
Their students running for the hills fast, as they should. They pay 30,000.00 dollars plus for a sub-par education, they get out into the field and cant even figure out how to use the basic hand tools, the expect you to pay them 30 dollars an hour, I could go on and on about this for hours. U.T.I. needs to change their ways of doing business and maybe they can be good again. Get rid of Kim and her leeches and put someone in that position that can run a company not bleed it dry and blame it on the staff.
