it wasn't unplanned @4uej. I did a 2 year countdown to the day I became eligible and when I hit that mark, my good friend asked "Well, what now? lol". I said I was going to wait for a package, or leave if I couldn't stand it a moment longer. The latter almost won out. lol I was this close to not caring if I had a package or not.
And honestly? I'm glad to be out of there when I did. Granted, I'm still curious about what's going on in there, but it's not good, so not a healthy place to spend the majority of your time.

Just like @3fzu went to an unplanned retirement. Saving it to buy my own insurance in four months.
Got two checks: 5K and 8K today! Feeling good to be away from the insanity.
vacation money @3jxf? Not me. I prefer to save so I can (and did) retire ~1 decade before my full retirement date. Gotta save to do that. ;)
Woohoo! Free vacation money!!
Got mine direct deposited today. $5641
I received length of service one early July. Most people, I believe have also received it. Call them if you have not.
Got mine today via direct deposit, ~$5700, but still waiting for the bigger one that depends on my length-of-service. Anyone still waiting after submitting the release document in early June ?
$4937.00 after taxes.
I got it too via direct deposit this morning.
My coworker (then) got it last Fri, but I did not. Hmmm.... will have to call them on Mon. Total incompetent HR.
Got it early Saturday morning via direct deposit ~6500.
I received mine today, ~ $6000 after taxes. Now question is, what are the best options to get your own insurance after COBRA expires? Through ACA (Obamacare), COBRA, shop around different insurance companies, etc.? How much is if you pay for COBRA on your own?
Check your accounts, mine is there.
Should have been today (and was told by HR several times it would be) but now see it as pending in checking account to not post until Mon 8/1/16. Someone playing games with the books at Intel and moving term dates around by a day or two as well from 5/30/16 in Original notice to now show 6/1/16. Means med insurance should have gone thru end of June not May and pushed Cobra start to July. But they only showed the later date to Fidelity to delay retirement account payouts. .
I got mine finally. Can finally separate ties with this piece of sh-- company and its incompetent slave driving managers. Hopefully the rest of you can too.
No, not yet. Clearly Intel miss schedule again (according to the timeline from HR lip service, 3rd timeline I get from Intel HR lip service). Will call them next monday.
No. Not yet.
