@1hwr- That's funny cause they are only funded 'till end of '16. Nothing wrong with fantasizing.

SPTD plan to have expansion start in 2017...
Expected to move out in 2017 or 2018...
xju: did your upper management give a time frame?
I know a bunch of STTD (sort test) workers at Intel who hardly work, they can be seen mostly at cafe, or sitting at the bench under the bridge connecting the parking lot to RA4 ... not sure why there are so many employees who has no work to do but still on payroll..
Isn't SPTD part of ATD? Didn't they just spend oodles to build a new plant (CH8)? Can't imagine them moving that, but one never knows....
Ya I heard this rumor too from a contact in upper management!!
If Intel Labs can move from Santa Clara to JF campus in OR why not ATD from AZ to OR? OR Gov is giving lots of tax rebates for intel, I believe..
Why would Intel put anything more in OR? Worst business climate anywhere.
No way. OR doesn't have the space required for the test floor. And OR's own test floor got outsourced to Costa Rica.
Why would they want to?
Aint gonna happen..
Keep in mind that Intel makes logic, but does not use it.
Maybe some orgs at ATTD will move but i doubt the whole site gets closed in Chandler.
IMO moved because California is expensive. Chandler cost of living is nowhere near santa clara.
Makes sense to central locate everything. Save a lot of shipping time and that is required for faster information learning.
IMO moved, ATD should too, but it makes too much sense, so if it makes sense, likely wouldn't happen, LOL
Don't think it makes sense to move all of ATTD to Oregon. They should however cut out money pit projects like SPTD that seem to be going nowhere.
OM, please let this rumor be true, PLEASE. This group is sh--s @Intel. They only hire their buddies from their own country. If you look at the org chart from the lady the packaging group you will see what I am talking about. Also, Babak is in Oregon so there you have it.
