Only the Queen ruled VPG sd, all managers were spineless, RR, MV and rest of them, none had the balls to stand up to her. No wonder it has no direction nor any no innovation.

VPG has a 30-35% headcount reduction target. If true, That's huge. Wonder how the Queen rescues her minions.

Honestly if RR has even an iota of self respect, he will follow MV and ditch the Queen.
Whats happening with all the CPU trash that moved to VPG after milking the system in CPU? Dont they get the boot? They might probably be more expensive than the lower level engineers.

@ 1oze -- If Queen fires RR then who will clean her house toilets? RR is house maid service for Queen.
Intel should stop development of in-efficient Gen graphics (Gen graphics requires lot of memory bandwidth due to architectural issues and due to that more power) and license external outside graphics. Only requires SD team for physical implementation.
Perhaps Big M convinced the Queen to stay longer.

if you are a Queen and can't influence Strategy prior to execution to do right thing but then later end up blaming strategy for poor execution/perf. then you should renounce your throne voluntarily

VPG SD not getting rid of RR? Another queen's pet. Lot of top level fat needs to be trimmed in VPG. Bad decision making, favoring their own people.
FE manager DL took early retirement. got rid of him but for a nice package he didn't deserve!
@1bxd - I completely agree with you. VPG SD team is also bloated and in-efficient. Why FE manager DL is still there? He is the most BS guy.

In VPG validation they made SR a PE and he is very incompetent and makes not only bad decisions but takes other people's work and passes it on as his own ideas to his management and since they never check he gets credit.
AC who is a validation architect runs circles around SR but is he PE? Nope! Why? Because SR is Queens little pet and AC is not. VPG is very unfair and something needs to be done!

AS in architecture, the shortly guy with a big mouth, used to be good but just a sell out and also makes stupid decision but his ego is so inflated its funny. He couldn't fill TPs role for which he was groomed for. He is an over paid with little value anymore. He doesn't have the respect of his people but they are afraid of him because he has a lot of support from the uppers for reasons that I do not get. He pulls in over 1/2 million a year and should be gone and replaced with cheaper workers who will do a lot more work than that putz
All the ERP managers should have been fired. They all favored certain employees and tossed other ones under the bus and don't take responsibility for their mess ups. The Queen is horrible and only promotes within her inner circle of people many of whom are incompetent. Some how AK got to be senior PE last year and he doesn't have the respect of the people who work with him. How does that happen ? I have seen him make bad decision after bad decision and yet he gets promoted?
BK, if you are reading this, the way you are doing layoffs is very stupid and you are losing a lot of great talent. The problem is management. They give promotions and raises to their buddies while the rest of people get the scrapes. It is not a meritocracy , it's who you know and the assyou kiss that gets you somewhere, not talent. Need to go into VPG and replace management so that new management can see how sh--ty these people are and get rid of them! It's the only way as you will never know who they are on paper because they are protected! Shake that group up, it needs it badly!! Anyone disagree here ?

Heard at least 5 senior mgrs from FE/SD in FM took the ERP.
VPG sites under scrutiny are AZ and CR. They could get cut or significantly reduced. Most functions to consolidate in FM, BA and GDC.
