@H7KGTCW-jue, Hispanics are not considered a protected URM category at Intel, though they do monitor their population in their workforce composition. fyi...

In total and by literal definition Intel is a racist company. By that I mean Intel has specific race quotas for specific employee skin colors. If you don't have the right skin color you face a greater risk of ISP/VSP because Intel has to reach it's 2020 goals. But don't take my word for it. Look at Intel's own documents:
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/diversity/diversity-2015-annual-progress-report.html
(click on download pdf, then see the last page (pg 58) which shows how many more "wrong skin colors" need to be fired in order to get "right skin color" folks in...
It is false that URMs are protected. I am a black male in CA and a high performer, but was ISPed. The folks are using grade, pay and age. It depends on your manager too. If your manager does not like you, you get the wrong stock and you are a goner.
-jue does a good job of helping to confirm that URM is at play. Since Hispanic is not part of the diversity model, you would expect an Hispanic employee to be included in the pool of potential ISP targets which is what she confirmed happened in her example. Since Intel has already stated publicly what their URM targets are and by what year, those targets can only be reached by firing people who don't fit the model and/or by hiring only people that do fit the model. Performance is secondary.
If you were eligible go VsP, you got notified Monday. With the email was an age discrimination document as required by law that outlined the age of all affected ppl. criteria was S SSL 3 from 2013-2016 and time in grade 1 std dev above the average. The attached doc gave all the ages of all affected people for VSP, ERP, and ISP.
Age and if you are caucasian is BS. My husband's colleague from college just got let go and he's hispanic, and is a RCG. Older Caucasian males just happen to be a larger number because there were more Caucasian males 15-20 years ago working for this company. You guys need to get over it.
Any validity to the rumors they're moving the datacenter to China
There are a few filters. Stock level and time in grade are the most cited publicly. Not advertised for obvious reasons are your age and if you are Caucasian. First preference to remain employed goes to people who help with the diversity model no matter their performance in relation to older Caucasian employees, especially of course Caucasian males. Older Caucasian males are the most targeted for termination.
